Laptop Monitor Goes Batty
I have a laptop that is experiencing some very strange behavior.
Occasionally if I tilt the screen the whole LCD is filled with what I can
only describe is colored confetti. This flashing confetti totally engulfs
the whole screen and if I have my earphones in I can hear static.
Also, powering on the machine from a cold boot, it takes a few tries
before it comes on (it powers itself off) and requries me to flip the
laptop around at odd angles, sometimes upside down for it to fully boot at
all.
I also have experienced this multi colored confetti during the middle of
the boot process as windows is loading and I did take notice that the hard
drive light completely stops flashing as if experiencing an extremely
fatal hardware error.
I am typing on the laptop right now and all seems good but this happens
frequently and I'd like to get resolved.
I know its hardware for sure but its difficult to pinpoint a specific piece.
